Due to the significant number of students using medicine and the broad range of medicines prescribed, it is becoming ever more likely that an incorrect dosage may occur at school. For this reason, parents are urged to schedule the administration of all medicine at home. If your child requires medication at school the school personnel will administer prescription medication to students under the following conditions:
1. The student's name
2. The name of the medication
3. Clear directions for administration of the medication
There is a supply of OTC meds kept in each office. With students K-2 parents will be called any time OTC medication is required for permission to administer. Students 3-12 will be given an OTC medication form at the beginning of the school year for the parent to sign and return. Medications will be given according to the parent permission.
Due to the safety of all students they are not allowed to transport medications on the bus. A parent has to drop them off and pick them up.
